From October 17th to 19th, 2024, our city hosted a conference titled “Everyday Justice: The Notary Public, MASC and the Digital Era” as part of the XV Notarial Update and Coexistence Course 2024. The event was attended by Luis Munguía, municipal president of Puerto Vallarta, who officially welcomed notaries from all over the country.
Munguía thanked them for once again choosing Puerto Vallarta as the venue for the event, which is distinguished by its program of high-level conferences. “This event focuses on updating of the notarial guild and creating an open dialogue that allows for generating strategies and legal innovation, as well fostering a sense of coexistence that strengthens ties and relationships for the benefit of the guild.” he said.
During the opening ceremony, Jaime Natera, president of the council of the College of Notaries of the State of Jalisco, emphasized that as legal professionals and trusted advisors, notaries must grant and guarantee legal certainty to each of the parties involved. “The detailed role that the notary plays in society occupies an important place and there must be an awareness of some fundamental needs,” he said.
This meeting encouraged sharing experiences and knowledge to generate innovative legal strategies and help continue a path of competent, effective, dignified and responsible notarial service for society.
