At the beginning of May 2021, construction work began on Calle María Montessori in the Palmar de Aramara neighborhood. This work, which is scheduled to be completed in another month, will extend from Calle Montessori’s junction with Av. Francisco Medina Ascencio to Av. México.
The municipality’s Public Works department has already razed the old cobblestones in preparation to replace it with hydraulic concrete. In addition, landscaped areas will be included along this route of approximately one-quarter mile.
Jorge Quintero, interim municipal president of Puerto Vallarta, said: “This is a work in which we have planned for vehicular traffic in both directions, as well as sidewalks and other open spaces for pedestrians.”
The renovation of Calle María Montessori is to promote the real estate development that is currently inhabiting this road, where condominiums such as Distrito Coral and Zoho Skies are built, in addition to facilitating easy access to the Joya Hospital.
The Municipal Government of Puerto Vallarta also proceeds in the paving of Calle Circuito Viricota in the Aramara neighborhood, which will directly connect Calle María Montessori with Av. Prisciliano Sánchez.
