After the 2020 confinement caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, education had a change of format and classes were taught/taken online. This situation implied that facilities of various public schools were practically unattended during those months.
With the announcement at the federal level that face-to-face classes would be reactivated this school year, some schools in Puerto Vallarta did not present the accurate conditions to receive children again, as a great effort was required to provide them with proper maintenance.
Because of this reality, members of the renowned real estate agency RE/Max Destiny! carried out an initiative at the Alfredo V. Bonfil Elementary School (Púlpito 407, Alta Vista), where, together with the teachers and some parents, they performed activities that included the fixing of the bathrooms, as well as general cleaning of the classrooms, doors, desks, fans and chairs.
Likewise, the trees were pruned and the schoolyard’s surrounding walls were painted to offer a more attractive view for the students, who finally could start classes last Monday, October 18th, 2021. All materials were donated by both the agency and their customers.
“For us, who are professionals dedicated to promoting real estate development in Vallarta · Nayarit, it is pretty important to do our bit in pro of the destination children’s education. It is an effort that has paid off.” —Miles Gallardo, real estate agent of RE/Max Destiny! and main promoter of this laudable initiative.
