PV Remains in the Top 10 Safest Cities in Mexico

According to the 42nd National Urban Public Security Survey (ENSU) of the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) for the first quarter of 2024, Puerto Vallarta ranks as the second safest city in Mexico.

They emphasize that this result was achieved through the collaborative efforts of state, federal, and local governments, who have organized and partnered to ensure the peace and safety of both residents and visitors.

In this way, the Top 10 cities with the highest percentage of safety perception in Mexico are:

  1. Benito Juárez, CDMX – 11.1
  2. Piedras Negras – 19.0
  3. Cuajimalpa de Morelos – 22.5
  4. Mérida – 23.2
  5. Tampico – 23.6
  6. Los Cabos – 24.8
  7. Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco – 25.1
  8. Los Mochis – 26.1
  9. San Pedro Garza García – 27.1
  10. Saltillo – 28.6

It is important to note that this position is a very encouraging indicator for the community and has a significant impact on the quality of life for residents and visitors.

The ENSU is conducted on a quarterly basis, and for this edition, more than 27,000 households from 75 Mexican cities participated in the study.
