PV Among the Top 5 Safest Cities in Mexico
According to the 40th National Urban Public Security Survey (ENSU) by INEGI for the third quarter of 2023, Puerto Vallarta has secured a place in the Top 5 of the safest cities in Mexico.
They emphasize that this result was achieved through the collaborative efforts of state, federal, and local governments, who have organized and partnered to ensure the peace and safety of both residents and visitors.
In this way, Puerto Vallarta ranks fifth nationally among cities with the highest perception of safety:
- Benito Juárez, CDMX – 15.8
- Piedras Negras, Coahuila – 19.7
- San Pedro Garza García, Nuevo León – 20.8
- Cuajimalpa de Morelos, CDMX – 21.4
- Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco – 22.5
It is important to note that in the previous edition of the same survey, our destination was ranked 13th, which is a very encouraging indicator for the community and has a significant impact on the quality of life for both residents and visitors.
The ENSU is conducted on a quarterly basis, and for this edition, more than 27,000 households from 75 Mexican cities participated in the study.
