The Mexican Society of Interior Designers (SMI) celebrated the fifteenth edition of the International Conference of Interior Design and Architecture, an event endorsed by the International Federation of Architects and Interior Designers, which is considered among the most important in Latin America.
The three-day conference was held during the beginning of October at the Fiesta Americana hotel in Puerto Vallarta, where industry leaders met to talk about their experience, new trends and cutting-edge materials. Among them were Ezequiel Farca, architectural designer; Adriana Hoyos, interior decorator; Alejandro Restrepo, designer; and Pablo González, architect.
Attendees had the opportunity to visit the conference exhibition area, where suppliers and sponsors displayed their products and services. Held concurrently with the event was the 14th Interuniversity Conference of Interior Design, aimed at design students in the last semesters or their studies.
“In addition to having a young audience eager for knowledge, I would like to highlight the evolution we’ve seen over the 15 years of this conference. Each year’s event is updated to stay at the forefront, bringing guests of the highest level to share their experiences with attendees.” —César Chávez, general director and national president of the Mexican Society of Interior Designers (SMI).
