The International Convention Center was the venue where the Pacific Airport Group (GAP) held the 2024 Consultative Commission of the Puerto Vallarta International Airport, a meeting that presented a detailed report on passenger traffic growth and the progress of the New Terminal Building (NET).

From January to September 2024, the airport recorded a total traffic of 5.09 million passengers, a 0.6 percent increase compared to the same period last year. Of this total, 2.97 million were international passengers, reflecting a significant 3.7 percent increase compared to 2023.

According to Cryshtian Amador Lizardi, the director of the airport, the new terminal will cover 807,293 square feet, which, when added to the current infrastructure, will bring the total to 1,270,141 square feet.

In 2024, the Master Development Plan allocated a total of 1.944 billion pesos to the NET, which will bring the total investment for the 2020-2024 period to 6.098 billion pesos. These resources have enabled improvements to the commercial platform, the runway, and other processes, including the installation of e-gates and automated modules in Terminal 1.

With new connections to 57 destinations, the airport strengthens its role as a key pillar for the region’s tourism and economic growth.

“The New Terminal Building will allow us to offer a more modern and efficient airport, with faster processes to enhance the passenger experience.” — Cryshtian Amador Lizardi, director of the Puerto Vallarta International Airport.

This meeting presented a report on passenger traffic growth and the construction progress of Terminal 2.
