The project will be built on a 630-acre property with 4.3 miles of pristine shoreline, located north of Punta de Mita. The master plan was designed by the award-winning architect, Mario Lazo, and endorsed by the renowned Artigas Arquitectos firm. Construction will be carried out by Mota-Engil Tourismo, a Portuguese company, and it will feature over 2,500 residential units, five luxury hotels, shopping malls, beach club and a PGA-category golf course with unparalleled vistas, co-designed by golf legends Lorena Ochoa and Greg Norman.
Costa Canuva will have an estimated investment of $1.8 billion dollars and is expected to generate six thousand new jobs and an additional 18 thousand peripheral jobs for people from the region. The first stage is expected to be finished by the end of 2017.
