Since 1984, the year COPARMEX Puerto Vallarta · Banderas Bay was founded, the organization has worked in order to foster the development of the business community.
With regard to this new stage for the organization, Igartúa—who also serves as general manager for Las Palmas Hotel—commented that there is a shared commitment among members to strive towards the benefit of the organization, but also for Puerto Vallarta’s development in its entirety. “We are committed to doing a good job and taking the necessary steps to consolidate our employers’ union and COPARMEX,” he commented.
Following are the new members of the COPARMEX Vallarta Board of Directors 2016 – 2018: Gabriel Igartúa Sánchez, president; Carlos Elizondo Ramos, vice president; Jorge Alberto Careaga Jiménez, secretary; Jorge Alberto Villanueva Medina, treasurer and Carlos Hernández Hernández, commissioner. Members-at-large are Claudia Cadena Luna, Rosa Limón Jaramillo, Juan Pablo Martínez, Dimas Daniel Posadas and Alejandro Olvera Ávalos.
COPARMEX is a voluntary membership, employer’s union that connects entrepreneurs in all sectors who seek representation, both professionally and socially. It has over 36 thousand affiliated companies, which contribute 30 percent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) through 4.8 million formal jobs.
