A few weeks ago, renowned hospitality industry figure Carl Emberson was named director of marketing and operations for luxury development Punta Mita.
Emberson, who has more than 30 years of experience in the area and has operated some of the most successful resorts in Latin America, has a rich history in this strategically planned community on the Riviera Nayarit peninsula. In the past, he served as general manager of the St. Regis Punta Mita Resort and was behind the conception of the Punta Mita Gourmet & Golf Classic and Punta Mita Beach Festival.
More recently, he served as director of marketing and operations for Mayakoba, an eco-friendly luxury resort in Riviera Maya. His trajectory in the industry includes management positions in countries such as Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, England, Belgium, Switzerland, Fiji and Australia.
