Pedro Fernández Martínez formally accepted the role and began his activities as the new president of the Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals (AMPI). He will hold this position until December 31st, 2021.

Through a virtual event broadcast from Veracruz, Fernández declared that his actions moving forward will provide continuity to the work carried out by Roberto Barrios, who served in that position throughout 2020.

During his presentation, Fernández commented on his projects, among them, to achieve a speedy recovery of the industry after the economic effects caused by the pandemic. He added that he will seek to position the real estate activity—and the industry—as a pillar of economic growth in Mexico.

In addition, he pointed out that one of his initiatives for 2021 will be to continue strengthening the union of real estate professionals to make them more competitive. He indicated that to move the industry forward in this direction, the work will be based on the following areas: training, business generation, technology, expansion, regularization and regulations, as well as brand strengthening.

In 2020, Pedro Fernández served as AMPI’s national vice president.

Pedro Fernández was also sectional president and regional coordinator at AMPI Veracruz, where he promoted the implementation of the Real Estate License, as well as other projects at the state and national level.
