But, what does this event say about Puerto Vallarta as a destination, and the specific location they chose for their showroom? Beyond wanting to be accessible to 94 percent of Mexico, they chose Puerto Vallarta due to the strong sustainable development that the region is presently experiencing, a compelling green light for national and international investors looking to increase their business presence throughout the city.
After considering several options, KIA Motors chose a spot along Carr. 200 in Las Juntas (Carretera a Tepic 5753 – 20) due to its high vehicular traffic and strategic location. Once construction began, the project was completed in approximately four months.
KIA Motors Vallarta’s showroom features a reception, ten executive offices, waiting areas, a children’s playroom and a special area where two vehicles can be delivered simultaneously. Its modern design features large, tempered glass walls and the location also has a parts shop, service and inventory areas, and ample client parking.
The investment for the new branch was $35 million MX with a noticeable socioeconomic impact in the region, achieved through over 50 new jobs created up until new. The new KIA Motors Vallarta joins a total of 73 showrooms located throughout Mexico.
“Foreign investments have always been beneficial to destinations such as Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit, not only due to the employment and economic impact, but also because they bring quality products and services to the region that were not previously available,” commented Castalia Cabrera, marketing director for KIA Motors Vallarta.
With one year since they first entered the Mexican market, the South Korean automobile manufacturer has invested more than $4,300 million MX, creating over 14,000 new jobs, nationwide.
