During the festival, conservation specialist Pita Hache gave a talk about marine biology and protection of the oceans. Several activities were offered, including yoga, stand up paddle board (SUP), kayak, swimming and SUP polo competitions. Attendees could also enjoy the amenities offered by the residential complex beach club located in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, which features two pools, restaurant, sun deck, playing area and an ample beach.

Nayarit Ocean Fest was a non-profit event: all proceeds were donated to La Cruz Education Fund through the Punta de Mita Foundation.
